Shawnee, KS has adopted the 2018 IRC, including appendices E and H. Shawnee, KS Muni. Code § 15.06.010.

Amend the IRC by omitting all of Section R313 AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, of the IRC, and amend by adding in lieu thereof a new Section R313 AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, which reads:

SECTION R313 AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS

R313.1 General. An automatic fire sprinkler system shall be provided throughout all structures that contain four (4) or more townhouses.

R313.2 Design and Installation. Automatic sprinkler systems required by this code shall be designed and installed in accordance with Section P2904 or NFPA 13D. Shawnee, KS Muni. Code § 15.06.020.
